旅游：travel, trip, journey, tour
1. travel“长途旅行”指普遍的旅行，长途旅行，
如外地或国外旅行
① World travel gives you a new perspective.
周游世界能够给你带来新的视野.
② The cost of travel should be under 1000 dollars.
旅行费用应低于 1000 美元。
2. trip“短途旅行” 表示单独的短期去某地旅行，作为动词表示“绊倒”；（跟 trap 有关，field trip）
① Let's go on a day trip to Hainan.
我们去海南来个一日游吧。
② I was in Shanghai on a business trip.
我当时在上海出差。
③ Be careful not to trip and fall.
小心别绊倒了。
3. journey“长途旅行，游记” 尤其指乘坐车辆旅行，指去各个地方“游历”的意思，(跟 journal 相关，记录每日的事情，旅行+记录，The journey to the west 西游记)
① I love going on long journeys.
我喜欢长途旅行。
② Bob made the 200-mile journey by bike.
Bob 骑自行车环行 200 英里。
4. tour“观光，巡回演讲” 指有人带你去观光或参观（跟 turn 有关，去转一转，如 tour guide）
① We spent a week touring Guangzhou.
我们花了一周时间游览广州。
② Bruce is touring to promote his new album.
布鲁斯正在巡回演出，以宣传他的新专辑。
穿：put on, wear, dress, in
1．put on 强调穿衣服的动作，表示还没有穿上衣服的“穿”。
① It's too cold today. Put on your coat.
今天特别冷，穿上你的大衣。
② Put on your jacket. It's quite chilly.
穿上你的夹克，外面很冷。
2. wear 强调穿衣服的状态，表示已穿上衣服的“穿”。
① I like wearing bright clothes.
我喜欢穿鲜艳的衣服。
② My grandma is wearing the coat which I bought her.
我奶奶穿着我给她买的那件外套。
3. dress 也是“穿”，但后面不能直接加关于衣服的单词，通常加反身代词。
① You're old enough (now), you can dress yourself.
你已经长大了，你可以自己穿衣服
② She dressed like a princess.
她穿得像个公主。
4. in 后面加颜色的英文单词，表示穿着某颜色的服装。
① Lily is in red today.
丽丽今天穿着红色的衣服。
② The man in black is my father.
那个穿着黑色衣服的男人是我的父亲。
一对：pair, couple
1. (1) pair 指由两个一样的东西组成的“一双，**，*副”，如眼镜、手套、鞋袜等；“一条，一把”，如裤子、剪刀等。
The washing machine has ruined a new pair of trousers of mine.
洗衣机把我的一条新裤子弄坏了。
(2) pair 也可指“一对夫妇”，有时也指“两个人，两个套在一起的牲畜”。
① The bride and groom are a good-looking pair.
新娘和新郎是很漂亮的一对。
② Tom and his brother are a friendly pair.
汤姆和他兄弟两个人很要好。
2. (1) couple 可指一对夫妇，也可指“一对人(如舞伴)；一对东西”。
① They are a newly-married couple.
他们是一对新婚夫妇。
② I found a couple of socks but they don't make a pair.
我找到了两只袜子，但配不成一双。
(2) a couple(of)有时指“一两个，(少数)几个”
She was expecting a baby in a couple of months.
再过一两个月她就要生孩子了。
